What’s the easiest clothing to wear after a shoulder surgery?
People are generally worried about putting on t-shirts and things like that, but you can get them on. Human beings are very adaptive, and after all of our shoulder surgeries, we let people move their arms around gently to get things on.
I’ve had shoulder surgery twice myself. I had no problems getting my clothes on. You just keep your arms where they need to be, and you just slip one arm in, slip, no problems, the other out.
You won’t damage anything by putting your clothes on, and it’s not that painful. You could wear some button-up shirts and do that too. But in general, just wearing t-shirts, I wouldn’t wear super crazy tight clothes that are hard to get in, because that’s just uncomfortable.
But generally, you can wear pretty much what you want. The majority of our patients can get in and out of their clothes without much trouble right after the procedure.
