What Can You Do 2 Weeks After Rotator Cuff Surgery?

This will vary depending on what surgeon does your surgery and what they tell you.

In my practice, the way we treat patients is different. We are much more accelerated than 99% of surgeons. For us, after two weeks, the sling is completely optional. You can move your arm around. I’m okay with early active motion, especially on small to medium-cuff repairs.

For the larger tear, I still let you lift, but I may not want you going higher than your head for about six weeks. You can put on your clothes, go to the restroom, shower, drive a car, travel, and go to work. As long as you don’t do vigorous physical activity with your shoulder, you can pretty much do whatever you want to do in life for daily activities without fear of damaging the surgery two weeks after rotator cuff surgery.
