What Are The Symptoms of Bursitis in The Shoulder?

Symptoms people typically report are just aching and pain anywhere in the front, side, down the arm and the back.

They report some crepitus or some popping and clicking in the shoulder. People report that when they lift overhead, go behind their backs, or reach out to the side. They have pain in their shoulder. They say when they work out, they do certain moves, especially pressing overhead. That can be very irritating. They have pain when they sleep at night, when they lay down, it wakes them up.

Those are all symptoms of bursitis of the shoulder. They’re also symptoms of rotator cuff tears. So the symptoms of bursitis and cuff tears are identical. If you want to figure out which one you have you need to come in and see a shoulder specialist. We specialize in shoulders and we use ultrasound in the office so we can figure out immediately in the office within 30 seconds whether you have a tear or not, and then counsel you on which way how to treat that problem.
